7 of us held Camp Kino with a good squad lead directing fires and coordinating the effort and despite the fact that we only captured Construction Site once, and lost it within 10 minutes due to lack of team support, and despite the fact that the team around us basically wasn't very great or coordinated, we won on tickets with our squad getting close to 80 incaps.
This shows the power of a squad working together, watching all sectors, as well as having a position with a good standoff distance where the enemy must cross open ground.
When the enemy tried to use smoke to cross open ground our squad lead directed M240 grazing fires and M203 HE rounds into the smoke which stopped 90% of enemy attempts to move in through smoke.
If we had had a mortar pit dug in the centre of the camp we would probably have stopped closer to 99% of enemy or 100% attempting to cross the dead ground.
Excellent squad leadership from Kallen and good effort all round with everyone in the squad giving their best attempt.
A number of 2 man sweeps around the Eastern wall of the camp were also done to clear a few onesie and twosies who had made it to the wall and the enemy there were so broken and fractured from having their squad attacks pounded with M240 and M203 HE on the way in that it was simply a matter of walk and shoot to finish them off.
Enemy serotonin and testosterone levels were reduced severely by the consistently aggressive and domineering response of the squad to any attempts they made.
